PM1 Service (can be performed monthly, quarterly or semi-annually)

Before Starting Engine

• Check engine oil level, coolant level and fuel level
• Check if block heater is maintaining coolant temp (Above 90˚F in the block)
• Check fuel level in storage tank
• Check battery electrolyte level and add if necessary
• Check battery for secure connections and terminals for corrosion
• Test battery for proper performance

With Engine Running

• Check oil pressure
• Check fuel pressure
• Check water temperature
• Check generator voltage and frequency
• Check for leaks or unusual noises
• Test engine safeties

After Stopping Engine

• Check/verify all switches are in proper positions for automatic start
• Record battery charger volts, check for proper operation
• Inspect generator for cleanliness

Reporting

• Provide detailed service report, including photos taken at time of service.
• Advise customer of any/all unusual situations or potential problems which will require further attention

PM2 Service (performed annually)

During an Annual visit, our service technicians will perform the services listed in the PM1 visits as well as the following:

• Drain crankcase oil and replace with new oil
• Remove and replace oil and fuel filters
• Inspect air filters and replace as requested
• Legally and professionally dispose of waste oil and filters
• Lubricate fan drive with Caterpillar bearing lubricant for high speed applications and temperatures: -30˚F to 325˚F
• Lubricate governor linkage
• Replace inlet filter for day tank (exclude fuel cleaners)
• Inspect voltage regulator for loose wires and proper adjustments
• Pull oil sample. Oil sample report will be provided once oil analysis has been completed.
